At Moment Tea, we prioritise sourcing the finest, naturally grown teas that meet our high-quality standards. We do offer teas that are grown using organic farming principles, however, not all of them carry official organic certifications. This is because obtaining EU organic certification can involve significant costs and administrative complexities, which some of our small-scale tea growers may not be able to afford.
Rest assured, our commitment to providing you with the best-tasting and environmentally responsible teas remains unwavering. We take great care in selecting teas that are free from harmful pesticides and chemical fertilisers. If you have specific preferences for organic teas, we do offer a selection of teas that are officially certified as organic, and you can easily find them in our dedicated organic tea section.

Properly storing your tea is essential to maintain its flavour, aroma, and quality.
Regardless of the tea type, it's crucial to store it in a cool dry place as extreme temperature fluctuations and moisture can cause tea leaves to spoil or lose flavour. Store it in an airtight container to prevent exposure to air, moisture, and odours from the surroundings. If you have multiple tea varieties, try to store them separately to prevent flavour cross-contamination. Aromatic teas, in particular, can easily absorb scents from other foods or teas.
-
Tea doesn't typically have a strict expiration date like perishable food items. Instead, it has a "best before" or "use by" date, which is more about maintaining its optimal flavour and aroma rather than safety. In general, tea can be safe to drink after it has passed its expiration date, but its quality may deteriorate over time.
