Smoked Pine, also known as Lapsang Souchong in the tea market worldwide, is renowned for its unchallenged place as one of the first red (black) teas to come into existence. It’s originally created in the Wuyi Mountain area in Fujian Province, a place where most of the finest Chinese teas come from. As it is roasted over pinewood fires during the tea crafting process, the aroma of the dry leaves is characterized as having intense empyreumatic notes that remind of bacon while the brew has a strong smoky pine flavor and a delicate longan sweet aftertaste. Simply add 5g of tea to a 600ml teapot, then pour in 100°C hot water. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavours to gently unfold. Pour, sip, and enjoy your moment of tranquility.
